My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Julia, I'm 18 years old and I live on the gold coast. I'm currently putting myself through a diploma of photo-imaging and graphic design.
I love photography, I always have since i was alot younger; I love the fact that i can capture moments and adventures in my life that i want to remember forever. I remember when i received my first camera for my birthday and my best photo is of a butterfly so still on a leaf.
I try and challenge myself when i take photos, to make them better from the last and improve from my mistakes. My dream is to travel the world and take photos of the real places where not many people from other cultures have seen before, I hope to inspire people around me and the wider community with images that i have taken. I would also like to travel to borneo and work to save the orang-utans, and the best part would be to create a book based on photographs for people to buy and all the money goes back into saving the orang-utans.

I would love to experience different cultures and see the world, experience so many new things in life, I have been watching this scholarship since i was 14 and this is the first year i have been able to enter into it.
