My Scholarship entry - Finland is not only a forest...

I could say that I’ve been into photographing the past year (even there are a few taken earlier), I’m relatively inexperienced as without formal training or such so all that I’ve learned has come either from trial and error or from YouTube tutorials.

I’m surprised how in this short time I’ve developed such a passion for it. I’ve started to look things in a way that how would I compose that, or how would this look in a different light. I even occasionally realise during the night dreaming of taking photographs.

It’s clear that there is a lot to learn, and I’m eager to learn more, to become more. That being said, it is also fair to say that my day job (Head of Service Delivery) today is totally something else and not sure if I’ll find an easy way to develop photographing into level that it would support me and my family. Though my motivation to shoot is to find joy from a successful picture, and hope that other people find that from my pictures as well.

Knowing your style in post-production (based on the vids) values different things, I’m still hoping that it is not something to penaltise too much as this would be a huge opportunity to learn other techniques / styles as well.
