My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My whole life I have traveled, my parents had me experience a wide variety of cultures and recently I have traveled on my own throughout South-East Asia. I have learnt much from these experiences and I think that everyone should be exposed to cultural differences. This experience would teach me the skills necessary to capture scenes and people how they truly are.

I believe travel is important for the individual and society as it allows people to understand more about how the world works and where they stand in a greater society. To experience different cultures is like learning a new lesson in life. Photography is a great way to show people what in the world is out there and hopefully entice them to go for an adventure. The fluidity of travel is enough to make one relax and think about life on a bigger scale. The people met through travel created more opportunity for adventure and they also can teach you many things.

I which to enhance these skills so I can allure people to travel. One skill in particular is the ability to heavily connect with my subject; this Oman trip would be a perfect experience to allow me to expand myself as a photographer.
