Cultural
diversity comes along with different expectations and interests.Kenya
is composed of 42 different tribes among them,Turkana community leaving
in the Northern part of the country.

Turkana community is also sub-divided into smaller sub-tribes including
Elmolos which is the most unique in East Africa due to their beliefs and
cultural practices.

The Elmolos leave alongside lake Turkana, the largest salty water lake
in the country. They are a population of about 100 people in total.

They stay on land like animals without shelters especially at night
because of the high temperatures in the arid region, its hot!

Most of their day time is spent in water so as to escape the harsh
conditions.Their skin become very dry once they are exposed to the
scorching sun.

They prefer walking naked and they also hardly associate with their
relatives from Turkana region. This is majorly because they speak
different languages and also have diversified beliefs.

The Elmolos feed on uncooked fish as their main dish because the lake
has different species of fish and other water animals.

To my amazement, lake Turkana is prone to crocodiles but they counter
themselves with no harm.
