About journeytonow
I admit I am a bit of a travelaholic...though all I can say is once you start you won't be able to stop either. I have been lucky enough to see quite a bit in my 26 years so far, and even squeeze some of my exploring into my last few years studying medicine. I am actually supposed to graduating from medical school this May as a very responsible doctor. However, I still have a little adventure to get out before my residency in obstetrics and gynecology takes over 4 years of my life. So, as planned and promised over pretty much since I finished my last foray into latin america and started up the gigantic commitment that is medical school, I have taken this year off just before starting my fourth and final year. My last hurrah as a fairly free agent, without job, mortgage, husband, kids, etc has been long anticipated and though it was tough when it came down to it to put off my final year of school, with the end so near to my reach, I am certain I will come out of this year rich with experiences and short on regrets. I usually do the mass email thing to keep people updated, but as this emailing has taken a slightly indulgent more formal journal-like turn, it seems only fair to go from here in a journal format, so as not to force my longwindedness on any unwilling recipients. I am about a month and a half in, with some of Peru and Bolivia under my belt and much more to come. What a life :)
