Our Eco Melbourne

"Our Eco Melbourne" focuses on a sustainable, affordable look at Melbourne, a city known for pricey shops and café-hopping.
We were inspired by a concept close to our hearts; you don't need money to have a good time. We chose a narrative theme to present our interests and explore our city in a fresh and engaging perspective.
We are both passionate about working in the industry. David has a background in art and animation and has experimented with making music videos for friends. Josie has made amateur short films, as well as travel vlogs for family during an overseas gap year.
Film school has taught us techniques which will be valuable for such an assignment. Our film course doesn't cover much in non-narrative film making; getting the chance to work with a mentor like Trent O'Donnell would be incredible.
One of our ambitions is to work on a series of travel videos, following a biking expedition through East Africa, visiting local villages and experiencing tribal culture.
Winning this scholarship would provide us a step towards our goal of traveling and documenting the world in a fresh light. There are always new adventures to be had, and we're excited to take them head on.
