A Day In the Life of Bangladesh Children

Welcome to Bangladesh, the most crowded nation on earth, where poverty runs wild, life has no value, and the desire to climb the ladder of success is trampled by the fear of dropping to a lower social class. "A Day In the Life of Bangladesh Children" is the story my pictures will tell. These are not snapshots of random kids with no name. These are my friends that I have come to know from my past two trips to Cox’s Bazaar.
My name is Josh, I currently live in Bali, Indonesia where I have been for the past year volunteering at an orphanage and working at a surf hostel. Come November 23rd I will return home to Ventura, California. I should be chosen for the scholarship because I have a passion for meeting the people that make their culture what it is, and exploring what my eyes have not seen. The different cultures that I have visited have caused me to grow into a better person by revealing to me what really matters in life and all that I have to be thankful for. I feel that Photography is a calling in my life and I’m thirsty for direction and healthy criticism to advance my future in it.
