    Dawn has just broken over the Barossa Valley. The vineyards below are lit up by the warm spring sun and decorated with long shadows. by: jono Views[136] The ground suddenly seems to be moving towards us very quickly. Michael fires the burners for an extended time and before long we're slowing down and then rising again. No crash landing today. by: jono Views[166] In the air we're moving but we feel no breeze and it's as quiet as anything. All we hear are dogs barking below. Michael has a theory that the burning fuel produces a sound the dogs can hear but humans can't. by: jono Views[149] Once the fan has filled the balloon as much as it can with cold air Michael lights the burners and continues to fill the balloon in a spectacular and noisy fire show. Occasionally the fuel output spikes and the balloon lights up like a giant lamp. by: jono Views[128] Before dawn breaks Michael begins filling the balloon with cold air and checks the fabric's fastenings from the inside. The excitement rises as we realise we'll be up in the air soon. by: jono Views[134]
