Knowing that we eventually pass beyond this life is a birthright we bestow upon each other. It moulds and shapes societal norms, and has influenced our physicality and spiritual prowess as a species. A Camera allows me to document my life. Photography explains the world to me. It forces me to stay connected with my inner being, my inner child, demanding precision and repetition.

Realising my passion and having the ability to pursue it with what time I have is a privilege and a rare opportunity not all possess. What an amazing moment to be alive; At this cross roads of human evolution. Divides between cultures and traditions are in decline as we collectively witness unification through globalisation. However, this connectivity comes at a cost.

We now bare witness the demise of our oldest peoples and wildlife. How will these new tools effect us? My goal and responsibility as an aspiring documentary photographer is to use this technology, to help celebrate the human condition through bridges of communication. Having the opportunity to observe and create alongside Jason and the crew would grant me precious insight into a path I have much drive and passion for in pursuing.
