My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I believe that with this guidance from Jason I will become one of the World’s best culture and travel photographers. All my life I have been an inspiration and mentor, with what little photography knowledge and expertise I had, to those in my small circle.

Starting with my OM-1 in 1983, it has been my passion in photography to capture the essence of a culture or people in pictures.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel widely and photograph peoples and cultures but never as my main work, so my efforts in photography have gone un-published as yet. Without formal training I have done the best I could to understand and express my creativity and most of all to learn about people and what is special and important to them, and then attempt to capture that in images that, come to life with feeling and expression. I hope the un-touched images of my entry will speak for themselves.

From what I have recently learned about this Scholarship opportunity, I know it will give me the insight, knowledge and training that is what I lack to turn my rough skills into a photography success story and enable me to reach the potential I have; to tell the untold stories, and to inspire others in the same.
