HI, I'm Marilyn - my husband is John. Jomatravels. We have previously travelled the world extensively and have lived in some places where tourists rarely tread - but there is a lot more to see and do. We are now semi retired professionals, leaving the good life of the Gold Coast Australia and embarking on a journey of who knows where.
We have complete freedom to go where we want and stay as long as we want. That's why the Title of our first article is "One Way Ticket."
We do have a purpose on the journey and that is "fullfillment." To find happiness in giving and helping others less fortunate in many possible ways and to also help others who may wish to give also but don't know how to do it. We also want to enjoy the journey itself having fun along the way. We are not rich but we have enough money and bucket loads of experience in different disciplines and different cultures. We feel that if we can share our professional and life skills with others less fortunate or others more curious then we will have utilised our lives well.
We also want to encourage over 50's or retired citizens and members of Rotary International in particular to realize they can have a major impact on the world in a small way personally either by time or money as well as through Rotary and we invite others to join us on some of our travels. Everyone is welcome and you are guaranteed a great time. The world is full of beautiful people everywhere. If we can make a small impact in helping some of those we will be very grateful. The whole purpose is to keep our help at the grass roots level where we can have a direct impact on others lives.
