1. Myself and my friends have often embarked on long ridiculous road trips in the past. And every time I have documented it. I find the unpredictability of traveling over-landing fascinating. The people you meet, places you stay etc. Also having a challenge/goal makes a trip far more enjoyable. I like to capture the ups and downs and grand sense of achievement (or failure) when it comes to the outcome.
2. I studied Film and television production at National Film School of Ireland, iadt. Here I made a short film called Happy Birthday Timmy which won several international awards including Best International Short at the Toronto student film festival and Best Short Film at the Foyle Film Festival. Since college I have made various short films/music videos/web videos and I am always looking to explore a new idea.
3. I have always wanted to make films that show something new and/or different. I want to be able to make highly creative films in any genre. I have always been drawn to travel documentaries and I have been trying to make a couple of my own. This scholarship would allow me, to learn first hand from an industry professional and bring my films up to a much higher standard.
