I grew up with a love for anything and everything that taught me about all the amazing creatures of the world. I spent years and years telling myself that I was going to be a photojournalist. After a year of college pursuing photojournalism, it quickly dawned on me that it was not the route for me. It came with a lot of disappointment and lead to me putting down my camera for quite some time before picking it back up when I was able to travel to Kenya. That trip reconnected me with photography and showed me how many connections you can make between different animals and peoples' lives. It has lead me to pursue a career in public relations that I hope to use to work with agencies within conservation. I have recently been falling back in love with photography and see it as something that I can still use as part of a career to spread awareness about protecting these environments and creatures that have such a large home in my heart. Being able to take my photography from where it is now to a level where it would be truly beneficial to conservation efforts would bring my old dreams and new dreams together in a phenomenal way.
