My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Juan Jose Ngtse. I lived thru the worst when I started high school with the event of 9/11. That event have left a scar in me of what happened that day, a scar that is burned into my mind. The smell of smoke even though my high school was in Brooklyn, and that my twin brother's school was only 8 blocks from the world trade center. I am working towards to being one of those photographers that records these events for the world.
I admire and strive to be like war photographers Jeremiah Ridgeway, James Nachtewy, or ken Oosterbroek where they bring the truth of what is going back in the world into your living room. I want to look fear in the eye and step into the world of death and war and return with a sense of truth. I've strive to become one of those photographers that risk their lives daily for the truth. I'm not afraid to get down and dirty for my shots. I want to bring back that piece of humanity that so many of us have numb in our lives.
Why I believe you should choose me is that I genuinely want to learn photography. Photography has always been an outlet where I can express myself outside of work and will never change take me. Thank you for your time.
