About jesullivan94

My name's Jack, I'm 20, and I'm from Essex.

Creative writing was always the thing I excelled at more than anything throughout my entire school life, and was always the thing I enjoyed most, which has lead to my current study of an English degree at Bournemouth University.

As a kid, I always loved going on holiday - who didn't? Spending 2 weeks at a beach resort away from the crappy English weather was more than enough to please my child-self. As I got older, though, I gradually grew less fond of this and instead found myself wanting to explore different countries and cultures in-depth. Don't get me wrong, going on holiday is still fun, but not as fun as immersing yourself properly.

My first taste of the above was in 2013 when I went to Ghana for 3 weeks. I spent 2 weeks completing a volunteer project and 1 week travelling round. I'd been Paris and Rome before with my school, but that wasn't travelling. That was being told what you're going to do, and when you're going to do it. Living with the locals in Ghana and then having the freedom to travel at our own wish is what really sparked the sudden desire to go and see what the world has to offer, and that's exactly what I plan to do in the years to come.

I'd love to combine both of these interests into a career as a travel writer, which is why I've started this blog. Admittedly, I don't have any other stories to write about due to my limited experiences, but when they do happen, I'll be sure to write about them!

Other keen interests of mine are football, reading, partying and watching films.
