Imagine, 13 years old, starting high school in a whole new country. I hated it, no friends, no life and bad grades in school. By the time I turned 14 I hated my life, I was insucure, I was depressed and I felt like I had no one. Untill my 15th birthday, my dad wanted to help, he didn't want to see me like that any more so he introduced me to a SLR camera and I fell in love.
I begain to put all my energy into photography, taking photos of all sorts of things. I was always very curiouse and photography helped me express not only my feelings but also my interest.
This Gallery is filled with photos from the specialist place in the world, this is were is spent my life from the age of 9 years old till I was 13. I made life long friends and friends that I missed when I moved to Australia. To this day Karamea is still my little piece of paradise.
I am still learning, still experimenting, and by giving me this opportunity to show my skills and learn new things, it will help me to up my level of skill, to give me more confidence to achieve my goals. To chance the things I want to do with my life, I want to be an event photographer, someone who takes photos of things that is happening around me at that point of time.
I'm 17 now and iv never been happier, I love my life. Photography gave me the confidence that I need.
