Mt Sinai, Egypt

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Tuesday, October 12, 2010 | 5 photos

My parents have always described me as a spirited traveller and i have never believed anything different. I guess thats why in the last 27 years I have travelled to more stunningly beautiful countries than most people could imagine. I have lived in USA, Ireland, Greece and France and passed through such countries such as Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Italy, Germany, Jamacia, Switzerland and many more including Egypt where I took this beautiful set of photographs that represent Mt Sinai at dusk.

On the way up more than 4000 steps I had time to contemplate the essence of life and take in a historically monumental place. One of the things that mainly caught my eye was the interaction of people with the landscape and the light. People even though they were struggling were thrilled with their life.
Mt Sinai is a very spiritual place and that why i chose to enter these images for the National Geographic competition.

I am currently a photography student living in Sydney, Australia and I will never with all of my heart stop wanting to travel and document life through my lens.
