Defying the odds, Amy (my beloved travel companion) and I survived the arduous 14hr flight into Dubai; found our hotel (after wandering up and down the same street for 15 minutes); and managed to figure out the weird bidet toilet system in our hotel and decided to take our accomplished selves down to the infamous Dubai Mall. And wow. My words cannot even come close to aptly describing the awe-inspiring shopping metropolis. Massive is an understatement. The mall is home to a theme park; an aquarium so large you can scuba dive in it; the world's largest cinema complex; an ice rink; and of course every shop that ex insisted in the history of ever. We spent two hour exploring the commercial maze and only scratched the surface. Which only means one thing...we will have to return to the shopping paradise for further exploration.
