My name is Jessica Edwards I am 18 years old. Photography has produced a sense of creativity in me that helps express and display the beauty within a moment. The last few years of high school I have got into photography as a hobby but is becoming another passion of mine. I started taking photos of sunsets; still do, but now have a broader range of the environment/ecosystems, animals and people. I am very athletic I’ve played sports my whole life, which has given me the ability to keep fit and active. It is the gift I have been given and my passion.

Africa has been a destination that I have always aimed to visit. The atmosphere and beauty of the wilderness and my love for all animals’ truly creates the perfect adventure to embark on.

Photography express’s the minds power of the moment. I capture moments of laughter, silence, beauty, nature, and friends and family have been a big part of my life and experiences, which I cherish.

Emotions are hard to capture, though when they are caught they truly take my breath away. I would like to in the future be able to create my own gallery filled with my own photographs and artworks. “?"I paint what cannot be photographed. I photograph what I do not wish to paint."

I would be extremely privileged to win this scholarship to be able to contribute to the national geographic, I wish to help people understand that there’s more to life then money, exploring the value of life, this will help give me the power to accomplish what I desire. I am willing to improve my skills and accomplish any tasks given.

This is what I want to do in life. This opportunity will put me in the direction of where and what i need to do and how to do it.
