As a recent graduate in ePhotojournalism, I thrive on nothing more than my passion for documenting the world, discovering, exploring, and learning along the way from experiences and people I meet. I decided to begin my journey this year by exploring Western Europe, enjoying the ability to pick up my camera each day and simply photograph, discovering new skills and practices as each day passed. However, I feel there is just so much more I would like to learn and I know that much will come with practice throughout my career, but I feel this experience would kickstart my career and give me something so invaluable that will assist my practice in every way possible. I dream of becomming a travel photographer and have always thought so highly of National Geographic. To only get a taste would offer such great opportunities for my future. The photographs I have entered are some of my best chosen images taken throughout my travels this year and I have assembled them to tell a linear story of my experience of Western Europe, the culture, the history, the people. I ask that you consider myself and my story for this travel scholarship as I will not only demonstrate my diligence, audacity and eagerness to learn but I will be truely gratified.
