My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a 27 year old photography student from New Zealand. My passion for photography began in 2007 when I landed a job in Cairns working as an underwater photographer. I have been obsessed ever since.
As this is the final year of my degree, the thought of being able to explore my newfound and developing skills under the tutorage of such an amazing photographer is truly exciting. This scholarship will give me exactly what I need real life experience.
For me there are two parts to photography that I love. The first is the constant problem solving required. The second is learning itself, doing so with a photographer like Jason would be a real dream.
I feel that I would be a wonderful candidate for this scholarship. I have a true passion for both the outdoors and travel. I am comfortable in many strange situations, and love to convey a concept with my camera.
Traveling and immersion into other cultures has broadened my horizons. I feel that photographing different cultures and delivering them to others enables those who cannot be there to experience it for themselves. Photography has the power together yet lets us celebrate diversity.
