My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I don't want to try and convince you why you should choose me but I want to tell you why this opportunity means so much to me.
When I first saw the advertisement pop up on Youtube before the trailer for Six Degrees Of Hell, I knew not to skip it. The whole time watching it, I was holding my breath with excitement and by the end I screamed and jumped almost in tears.
I have always wanted to work for National Geographic, despite how hard I've trained myself in mixed media photography, ever since I was a little girl. Photography is what's kept me going the past few years growing up and realizing things about myself and my relationships with my family. I'm 18 now and I have never felt so lost and lonely and in need of a huge opportunity.
I left school at 16 because they didn't offer photography courses and it was the only thing i was good at. I never had scholarships or good grades or friends in school and being extremely short sighted and lonely - taking photographs was my vice.
Taking photographs is my biggest passion and I think having this opportunity would help me get to know myself better as a person.
Thank you!
