London

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know I made it safely to London. Our flight was by most standards quite smooth. Although it was certainly not the best flight I have had in my life. With no in-flight entertainment at all (it was not working) and a screaming baby with the lungs of a future opera singer--I was kicking myself for not bringing my mp3 player! Needless to say, after a short layover in Frankfurt we landed in London. My backpack and I are still working on developing a good relationship, but I am sure in time things will get easier! So far so good with navigating our way around the city, very good public transportation. And our hostel (The Generator) has been great to us. We found ourselves the first night chatting with a couple of our roomates only to find they were students from the University of Oregon. Small World! It was their last night in London so we had to join them on a pub crawl of 5 bars and clubs--quite a way to start out the trip! After a day of allowing our bodies to adjust, tomorrow we are planning to get Visas from the Egyptian Embassy, go on a walking tour, and basically just take in the sites of London. Hope all is well back on the homefront! Much love. xoxo.
