Hey all,
So here I am, just clocked out from work and sitting on the 1 of 2 computers that have email at work. So, where do I begin?
First day, umm...took the bus from Palmerston North to Auckland. That was interesting, due to the fact of going thru Rotorua.
Arrived in Auckland at about 19.20 and my mate picked me up and we hung around Auckland city and that area for about 2 hours. Went to Mt. Eden also and got some great photos. (See facebook)
Then went back to his place and got to sleep about 23.30 - 0.00 and woke up at 05.00, we both ignored our alarms for about 15 minutes lol that was funny. Then ate breakfast and got the final packing done and went to the airport. At the airport while standing in this really long line, over the PA system comes, "Would Mr. J Smith come to counter 6. Mr. J Smith to counter 6 please" so out of the line I stepped and took 10 minutes to find out that it was another J Smith, so I had to get back in the line, right out the back. STINK!!!!!!!
Anyway, I finally got through and got aboard my flight and flew to Brisbane. At Brisbane I had about 3 hours which were all taken up by standing in lines and walking across the terminal. It was a pain. Then I got aboard my flight to LA, which left a hour late, but still got into LA on time. Got right through customs fast as anything, grabbed my bag then had to wait in another long as line to get out the door because 2 or 3 other flights had arrived at the same time so there was like 1000 people there trying to get out. Made it to my United Airlines connection and checked in BUT I had no credit card to pay for my bag so I had to wait 20-30 minutes for someone to come and collect my money, thankfully it was only about 07.45 when that happened so I still had time because the flight didn't leave till 09.55. I slept on that flight because I had been awake for the last 21 hours or there about so I was tired. Then I arrived at Chicago and checked the departure screen to see where my next flight would leave from and I saw that it was gate B12. So I sat at the gate and when the time for boarding rolled around nothing at that gate was happening so I rechecked the screen only to find out that they had changed the gate to F11C which was at the other end of the terminal. So I missed that flight to Peoria where I was meant to meet up with Zach at 17.50 but I got another flight that got me into Peoria at 9.55 so all was good. Zach, Megan and their two kids meet me at the airport along with a good friend named Josiah Candler and his Dad. So went home to Zach's and chatted and unpacked and went to bed.
So the next morning I woke up and we all went to work. My main job was just following up Price Verifications that were sent out mid-march but had not been sent in yet. Today, 04/02 (USA DATE FORMAT) was just doing the same. Monday will be heck-tick because that's when all my messages I left on the answer phones should be returned. Looking forward to it to be honest.
So that's it so far.
