Sooo,  I decided a couple of months ago to try to learn to surf.  WTH?! It really just popped in my head one day when I was feeling low down...  kinda ironic because I lived in CA for over 20 years but the water was just too frigid cold!  Yea I know that's what wet suits are for...And  I think too that I am fatigued emotionally because I have taken care of my mom who has Alzheimer's.  I now feel the need to go on great get aways to help keep me semi sane!  Because to use an overused platitude, life is fleeting.  Don't get me wrong I love my mother very much but I haven't paid much attention to myself since this whole thing started.  Well I did go to Paris a couple of years ago but whose counting?

Having never been on a surfboard and having no balance because I had two broken left ankles I knew I had to try and prepare as much as I could.  I've been doing a lot of research on how to develop balance and flexibility specifically for surfing and have increased work outs at the gym to 5 days a week.  Need more work ugh!  But want to keep injury free!

Workout for today, 60 minutes in the pool freestyle and about 20 minutes practicing on my long board with my bud Shawn!  Then a Cornona lol
