My Scholarship entry - Morocco

I see the world in shapes and colors, down to every line. Photography is how I make sense of the complicated, limitless world that keeps going round. It’s huge; I’m reminded of this looking up at the steep cliffs at Yosemite, or climbing the orange dunes of the Sahara at sunrise or looking over the entire city of Florence from the hill with prosciutto and crumbles of Parmesan. Though I try to see it all, as far as I can walk, or as often as I can vacation, it goes on forever and what I see is only a tiny fraction of the whole thing. The love, no obsession, no passion for photography runs in my blood. I love photography because it goes where words cannot go, captures textures, emotions and ideas that no number of words could get close to picturing. Photography is my means of memory, my hobby, my passion, how I see the world I live in and how I share what I see. I want to learn as much as I can about it and perfect my photography skills and I think this scholarship would be the perfect way to do that!
