I like to drink coffee, lots of it. I love absurd and ridiculous things. I want to learn how to juggle four balls and play my kalimba. I’m really into the environment, but sometimes i pollute the water supply by dying my hair wacky colors. I’m convinced that a bulleted list and double-sided tape can solve pretty much any problem. I have open-mouth insert-foot disease. I have lots of other awesome qualities, errr, issues, but I’m pretty good about keeping crazy in the box.
Why should I win? Because I would freaking rock this assignment <adult hat back on> and here’s why: 1) I’m a good writer, maybe not experienced, but I have a unique voice 2) I’m open to new and interesting experiences. As a result, they often happen to me, which makes for good material to write about. 3) I’m kooky and fun and people are drawn to that. Anybody can go to France and write about the cafes or the Louvre, but that’s not what travel is about. Travel is about human experiences and interaction and in order to capture that you gotta have a personality that enables those things to happen.
