B Strong: The Spirit of Boston

Travel isn't about ticking off one destination after another, it's about finding the story of that city and its people. Boston is a city with a rich background of passion and a new story of strength and resilience that was perfectly personified by a sporting triumph. We wanted to tell this story in particular because it not only captures the essence of the city, but shows the jubilance and recent transformation of the people who live there.

Cindel and I are keen travellers who met in Australia. We have made short films together and separately, and have worked for other documentary filmmakers as assistants, but have never had the opportunity to show our stuff to the world. Being able to tell stories, and unique stories that we uncover from all around the globe, would be a dream come true, and has long been a passion of ours as even aside from the scholarship we are hoping to one day film a documentary in the Himalayan region of Nepal with a dear friend and native who is one of the most interesting and special characters you will ever meet. Winning would be a step towards our dreams as storytellers, and would mean everything to our ambitions as filmmakers.
