The first time we tried to start a revolution

For our school trip to Paris, which would also be our last school trip ever, my friend and I forged the perfect plan; we were going to overthrow the bourgeoisie in the city of revolution, all whilst smoking Sobranie Cocktails and being chic. So when the day came and we finally arrived in Paris, the revolutionary spirit was ripe.
Unfortunately we were defeated. We were defeated at Versailles, when, after being told to be quiet by a security guard, our teacher tried to speak out against the authoritarian regime and in return was threatened with being escorted out. We were defeated by the city, after spending hours searching for the Louvre and we were defeated by the bourgeoisie, when we couldn't find a single shop selling Sobranie Cocktails. Our biggest defeat, however, came at the hands of the dodgy restaurant where we ate our dinner every night.
It was the last night of the trip and even though our hopes of revolution had begun to fade, spirits were still high. We were all walking to the Restaurant, keen to get the final meal over and done with. As we were walking, we started to notice an unusual amount of people heading in our directions, thinking nothing of it we just continued walking. We were all engrossed in conversation so none of us noticed the grey asphalt ending and a red carpet starting beneath our feet. We only realised that something was very wrong, when metal barriers appeared either side of us, behind which teenage Parisians were giving us strange looks. Soon after, we were escorted off the red carpet by an angry bouncer and continued on our way to the fatal meal, slightly confused.
The next day capitalism defeated us once and for all; as expected the meal had cursed us all with food poisoning. We were left with no choice but to spend hours on a train with one toilet between 40 of us. To add insult to the injury, we soon found out that we had in fact crashed the Hunger Games premiere the previous night and we stumbled onto the red carpet a mere 5 minutes before Jennifer Lawrence. So instead of meeting some of the most currently famous film stars, we were reenacting a real life version of the Hunger Games on the Eurostar in our battle for the toilet.
Capitalism may have defeated our bodies but it has not defeated our spirit. My friend and I are planning to take on Berlin in June and this time the bourgeoisie will fall.
