I am passionate about travel and photography. I very often travel alone, taking public transport and living in simple accommodation which allows me to enjoy the company of the people who make travel so rewarding.
I recently achieved a Masters Degree in Photography and Urban Cultures from Goldsmith's College, University of London. This enabled me to maximise on my ability to see things in the urban environment that many miss: the forms and colours that take the city away from its perceived 'greyness'.
I believe that I still have much to learn about travel photography, in particular landscape photography to which I have given the back seat favouring images of people and their way of living which fascinates me.
Winning this scholarship would enable me to learn much about other aspects of travel photography and by obliging me to complete a portfolio of work would challenge my imagination and photographic skills enabling me to return a more rounded body of work.
