I was invited to my friend’s wedding in a small village named Merendeng in South Lombok, Indonesia. She is Canadian and invited her friends and family to this lush beautiful island to perform the ceremony for his family in their native traditions. Little did we know that we were to dress as bridesmaids in their traditional clothes (one size fits all) – equipped with a “doorknob” bun hairstyle circled with flowers as well!
