My name is Jelvin Soh. Growing up in a urban country like Singapore, made me develop a keen sense of appreciation for the beauty which our world has to offer.
As an avid traveler, I enjoy basking in the majestic sights of the Swiss Alps to the rustic ancient Greeks cities. I've always admired the fantastic photos I came across on posters, magazines. My goal is to capture the perfect image of the places I have visited for my friends and family to appreciate and the chance of them feeling that they were there themselves.
This scholarship will certainly be the most valuable experience in my life. Apart from getting a firsthand look into how does a professional photographer work, I will also get to learn invaluable techniques and experience from Jason Edwards to capture the perfect picture.
My wish is that through my photography, others will get to see and learn about the beauty of our world which sometimes we tend to overlook.
Winning this will equip me with the skills and confidence to begin my own travel blog or journal on the web so that I can get to do my part as a citizen of this world in conserving what we have left or at least preserving our memories of it.
