My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am Jelise, I am new to travelling and have only recently rediscovered my love of photography; or perhaps my love of trying to show my loved ones at home the magic of the places I have been. I see so much beauty in the world we live in, all I want to do is remember it and share it! I have no training and I take my battered Sony Cybershot with me everywhere! The key to great shots is knowing they could be anywhere at anytime! I think my photos can be pretty good and I know that with guidance, I have potential to take some amazing shots! I want to be a journalist, I think that learning to take emotive photographs is perhaps a more powerful tool of getting an idea or story across to someone than words alone. This is such an amazing opportunity and I hope with all my heart get to take it!
