Golubac Fortress
While I was making my way up to the top of the Fortress I looked down and saw a beautifull river going trough the Fortress.. Old, narrow stairs made of stone, did not made me feel safe, but I made my way to the top... beautiful scenery of blue river and Carpathians mountain range took my breath away.. it was so calming and I forgot that I will have to make my way down those old stairs again.. But it was worth it. *** ( Golubac Fortress was a medival fortified town on the right side of the Danube River, 4 kilometers downstream from the modern-day town of Golubac /Serbia. The fortress, which was most likely built during the 14th century, is split into three compounds which were built in stages. It has ten towers, most of which started square, and several of which received many-sided reinforcements with the advent of firearms. )
