My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm Jeffrey U. Pioquinto, SJ from Davao City, Philippines. I'm a religious brother from the Society of Jesus here in the Philippines. Presently, I'm a teacher in Social Studies at the Ateneo de Davao University.

There are two things that capture my being: Spirituality and Photography. Spirituality is getting in touch with your inner self, your own values, your deeper longings in life. As a Jesuit, I anchored my deepest desires with God. Hence, I find God in all things.

Photography on the other hand, helps in capturing my religious experiences. It also gives opportunity to share my values to other people to help re-create a better place to live in.

Travel photography is a great opportunity to open new horizons. New perspective in looking at the world and in appreciating the values of others. In the place where I live - Mindanao, where people sometimes tend to focus on their own values and thinking that their values are superior than the others, I guess, my photos can help change the way we view things and the things that we hold dearly.

Please help me widen my experience and perspective so I can share it to others through my photos and help change the way we look at world.
