My Scholarship entry - Time on the water

I have a hardy spirit that likes to visit new places, see new sites and absorb new cultures.

I am easy to accommodate, lacking little to no frills. In an environment such as this, I believe having a stoic attitude to be of great virtue. I have an easy ability to get along with whomever I am with.

With regard to my photography, I do not consider myself one-dimensional. I do not limit myself to just landscape, just portrait, just sports or just city life. I challenge myself to capture each image tot he best of my ability no matter the subject or equipment that I am currently using. I try to view images from different angles and create outside the standard travel image portfolio.

I try to view the world from the eyes of those whose location that I am currently inhabiting and understand how that fits into the bigger scheme of things.

I have never been south of the Equator. My currently travels have been limited to North America and Europe, but will be expanding greatly in the near future to the Middle East, Asia and South America and maybe even Iceland.
