An innate sense of adventure and curiosity lies at the heart of my passion for photography. I feel the most alive when battling the harsh elements of nature, and my drive to persevere is fueled by the hope of capturing an unforgettable moment. For example, in order to capture the stars above Mt. Rainier, it was necessary to wait four hours after the ski lifts closed, while facing wind gusts in subzero temperatures. Despite the cold and wind, it was an amazing feeling of serenity to be there at that moment in time. It is this feeling coupled with a passion to travel which makes me an excellent candidate. The curious nature of my personality not only leads me to new places, but also enables me to learn and reflect from the people around me. It is this nature which makes me thrilled at the opportunity to work alongside Jason, and to have a mentor of such wide acclaim for 10 days. The invaluable lessons and hands-on experience are a once in a lifetime opportunity, and one which I can subsequently share with others. With a journal and a camera at my side, I look forward to documenting and reflecting on the experiences which will come from such a rewarding and enriching journey.
