My Scholarship entry - An Indian Story
India | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos
Hi, my name is Jeremy, I'm a 29 year old Australian aspiring photographer with a keen interest for travel photography and photo journalism, using images to tell stories, educate and inspire.
I've been living in London for the past 4 years and now I'm travelling through India and Asia before returning home to Sydney. My profession is Innovation marketing and fundraising for charities in the third sector, however I would love to turn my recent interest in photography into a profession. What better way to start by being mentored by the best!
I've only recently started to take a deeper interest in photography which I believe is important as it is able to connect people through a medium we all have an appreciation for, as we see what is around us every day. Photos can expose truths, tell an untold story, remind us of natural or humanitarian beauty and much more. This is important to me and I feel an opportunity like this to learn from the best can help me achieve my ambition to ultimately use photography to connect with others, educate, inspire and drive humanity in the right direction.
These photos were taken throughout various places and situations in India to tell a story of the unique, contrasting and beautiful nation that is India.
