The World and My Backpack "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

About jasperdelapena

Hey world! Wherever and whoever you are reading this, hello; and I'm very glad you dropped by. I am Jasper Dela Pena, 23 years old, and a registered nurse here in the Philippines. Today, I have decided to start my own travel blog/journal here on World Nomads. Well, that is maybe because, lately, I realized that traveling, whether internationally or locally, makes me happy and even just the mere thought of it does. Dreaming about traveling elates my spirit and I simply like the excitement that traveling gives me. Never did a day pass that i didn't think about traveling. But i believe it's not bad at all. It makes me more inspired, more motivated and even more determined to work harder and go see the world.

I spend a great deal of time each day on the internet reading travel blogs and browsing through some amazing photos of my friends' and other random people's travel album. And one thing it does to me, it makes me envious! Because of that, I'm moved to create my own journal and I'm eager to share with you some of my travel shots.

I have always admired travel bloggers and photographers by how they are able to depict the glorious beauty of the world through their writings and photographs. In my attempt to inspire you, guys, as much as I have been inspired by the people behind travel blogs, I'm creating this online journal. And with all hopes to let you see the world in my perspective and embrace it just the way I have, I'll share with you my experiences, some tips and advice, and thoughts through my writings and pictures.

I know you are excited whenever you hear about traveling, especially when you are part of that trip. Well, who won't be? In my case, I'm close to fainting when traveling penetrates my thought bubble. And it happens several times. So, come and join me as we share together the wonders of traveling here on my journal site : The World and My Backpack.
