My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I have always been very fascinated with photography by how you can capture a moment in time. That was what drew me to mucking around with my mum's camera when i was young. I saved up for many years and bought my first camera when i was 15 years old and have continued shooting and documenting since. I recently completed my final year of high school and am now studying a bachelor of visual arts, photography being a subject available to major in which is what i intend to do. In the future the only career i can see myself enjoying is one involving experiences and photography. I love practicality and visual involvement. I'm an intensely visual person who feels affronted when things don't look right and this drives me to improve. Currently it is early days in my education of photography and i know very little about photography hence why this would be the ultimate opportunity to get one-on-one mentoring from a professional and have an experience in the field of the job of my dreams. Working along side and learning from an experienced photographer about techniques and how to approach a field project would greatly benefit me and the experience certainly would be one hard to forget.
