    Even though the centuries' s passed and big city is near by my small home town, custom, traditions and history remains almost alive and almost the same. Views[192] When we talk about an ancient town we should mention the customs and there`s one in this town it happens only here. This is the beginning of a ritual where small girls between the age of 3 to 5 should put in a pot with water some of their jeweleries. They need to stay in the pot under a green tree all night and in the morning the girls take their jeweleries attached with charms of luck. Views[182] Now you see the old ruined parts of a place once called Metoh. It was used for a shelter by the traveling monks who stopped by to visit the town,because of the numerous churches(15) , chapels (58) in it and 5 monasteries around.This is why the town is also known as The Small Jerusalem. Views[187] This is my home town. Small ancient town called Asenovgrad in Bulgaria. It is situated beneath Rhodopa mountain. Views[594] The Asen' s fortress is standing on a hill high above the town. In the past it was built and used to protect the town and the big valley ahead of it. Now remains only the church and it' s the most significant monument of the culture. Also it is a favorite tourist destination. Views[157]
