My name is Jamie Oliveira and I'm a student at San Francisco State University with an emphasis in Documentary Film Production. My adventurous spirit has always led me to unique opportunities to engage with the most vibrant characters. I have always had a burning desire to create and I feel like filmmaking is the most dynamic medium for capturing the human experience as I immerse myself in the world. As a hyper-observant person, my goal is to create compelling documentaries with a vibrant aesthetic. I search high and low, internally and externally, in order to find the most meaningful story to tell; all the while being told from an eccentric perspective.
Other than my creative pursuits, whether I'm doing yoga to ease the mind and soothe the body, hiking into the depths of California's Redwoods, inquiring into the local farmer's markets, or connecting with whatever strange place my feet decide to take me, in general I'm a body that likes to play outside. I find my thoughts to be the most open and reflective during such times.
And I'm a creature filled with love.
