My Scholarship entry - Through Local Eyes

WORLDWIDE | Monday, 15 October 2012 | Views [324] | Scholarship Entry

There is so much beauty in the people that go unnoticed; they have such interesting stories to tell. It isn’t until you dig deep do you find how diverse and interesting a small city can be. Plus we added food…all travellers love food!

Since we met, at 16, we have travelled around China, Thailand (where we got married), and Australia but we just can’t shake our wanderlust, so in 15 months we’re leaving our jobs to make this our life not just a hobby. This scholarship would mean we could begin our new life with direction and the contacts that we seek.

James is an employed games designer. He doesn’t have any experience in presenting but is very lively and will talk the hind legs off a donkey! As well as presenting James did the graphics and assisted with the editing.

I am currently working as a teacher in a college, teaching basic media skills. For the last three years (since Uni) I have really enjoyed working with young people but haven’t had any real professional experience in filmmaking. For this project I did the camera work and editing.

We hope you can see our potential and that we both really are up for anything, we love talking to people and always want to learn more.
