I'm a person who likes to try new things, and set challenges for myself to complete. For this summer, I choose to discover the field of hiking and see how it is really like to walk in to the nature. I sign up a course called Adventure Program- Backpacking Program. I put on my backpack(borrowed from the Outdoor department) dressed like a hiker and without any idea how it would look like to be hiking in the woods, I start my step into the nature. The third trip to Gordon Pond is the most beautiful place I have ever seen on my trip, with the foggy raining weather, the nature looks like it's a myth to the hiker, it's like one of the Chinese poet have said: You never can know how the mountain really looks like, but you only know you are in the mountains. The hiking trip was tried and lots of obstacles for my on my trip, but seeing this scenery let me know that the trip is worth it, and now I really know how it is like to be hiking in the woods, not just knowing part of it from the magazine and movies. I felt that I have learned and achieve a goal. I felt strongly on that when I woke up in the morning in Gordon Pond, though it is cold in the mountain, I took a little walk to the pond, and saw a view that still exist in my mind, and wish I can be there once again. Though I don't have a good photography skill, I took the picture with the view I think looks the prettiest, and hope it will bring the feeling I had to whomever saw this picture. When people know that this was my first hiking trip, and know that it was tough for me, they always asked me if it will be my last trip, I always told them, no! If I can have to chance to go to another places and look at beautiful views in the world, I'm willing to travel and take as much picture as i can to share with others.
