These photos were taken recently at Second Valley in South Australia during a weekend retreat for the international students’ ministry leaders of our church who were mostly Asian. Ironically the pastor who led our group is a local born third generation Australian. The retreat was aimed to provide spiritual empowerment for the leaders who work hard all year round ministering to the international students attended our church here in Adelaide.

I’ve have been taking series of photographs ever since I first got a hold of my father’s digital compact camera several years ago, and I love it! Initially I took many creative landscape photos but later on I fell in love taking photos of people. Constantly learning and stretching the limit of my creativity, I hope to capture “moments” during any event or trip that I participated.

In those retreat photos, I presented the highlights and bonding moments between leaders during the trip. Jason’s FAQ videos have challenged me to look for stories within the photos that I’ve taken and further inspired me to “capture” stories through the photo that I take. And I hope to learn more of this if I’m selected for the scholarship to learn from Jason and to shoot in Bhutan.
