Looking around the corners of a dense city, I search for moments and encounters that reveals new aspects of the human condition, as the one I experienced while filming an homeless man shooting heroin on a pastoral saturday morning, in front of a person eating his breakfast on the sidewalk table of the local tobacco bar.
As the educated client supplies his commentary on the homeless drug habits and regards the event as some kind of national geographic episode, the poem posted on the bus station near by claims otherwise - Every man has a name, protest the poet Zelda, against dehumanization and the alienation of growing economical and social gaps.
I'm currently a young aspiring documentary film maker, shooting shorts while searching for an opportunity to travel far and wide, to embark on a journey to film new places and encounter people that could guide me on my way to become an eye and a voice for stories untold. This schorlarship could give me this rare chance to embark on this travel, to act as a leaping board out into this world full of wonders I've always desired and craved to document and could never afford to see for myself.
