My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am now a 24yr old refrigeration mechanic from NSW Australia.
I began taking photos when I was 14 years old, documenting my friends and skate boarding adventures. I still remember the anticipation from the moment the shot was taken to the day we all went and collected the films from being developed. We would then sit around critiquing the angle of the photo and execution of the trick.
This obsession continued into high school and transitioned to surfing and the obsession with the perfectly framed shot drove me to build my own underwater housing risking camera and limb to make the memories happen.
During the years at high school I finally felt like i found something that i enjoyed more than surfing and taking photos, I learnt how to develop my images in the darkroom.
Although I left school a year into starting this course I remember catching up with my photography teacher after his classes and he let me into the darkroom and kept teaching me.
Since starting my career in Hvac in 2005 the time to express my passion was lost but coming on 10yrs since starting I've been making the time putting in the hours to make my passion my job but put it simply I'd love this opportunity.
