Dreaming while awake

Into the Dream we go, even while awake...

The cliche of Life being seen as a journey with a lot of obstacles and hurdles that one must face to get to the end point (whatever point that may be) isn't one that appeals to me. In the land of Dreams the only obstacle it's ones wish to explore what is around them in a deeper way. To see what is around you and see everything for that it is in reality and not for what we want it to be can he a hurdle difficult to overcome. Seeing things for the first time can sometimes make you look at them with a filter and can make project that filter to all experiences you may have while exploring a new surrounding. All the senses must be heightened to experience all in one breath and make you appreciate fully what's around you. Every travel starts with the dream of finding something new, something you haven't experienced before, another cliche, one that every nomad worthy of that name has written in their DNA.
The start of this journey would be in the big apple, New York and what an amazing place to start. I know the epithet of Melting pot is applied to all of USA but the city of New York is its best representative. Here you can find not only people from everywhere (that's a given) but flavours and smells and sights from around the world. The best example of that would be the Statue of Liberty, a gift from the French, that gives any visitor the sense of grandeur the city deserves. There is a lot to explore in the city that is more than just Manhattan. One could spend a lifetime in the city and still find new things everyday. After a few days exploring the city a new destination arises and it's time to make a move: direction Washington D.C., the nation's capital.
So which route to take? How to make the 264 miles that separate these two great cities in one memorable journey. The quickest way or the imagination way. Go where the imagination leads you. While on route pass by a few other places like Newark, Philadelphia, Baltimore and arrive in time to explore what the city has to offer. A lot of historic monuments with their own story to tell. Do we dare to unfold it? Of course it would be a dream if we didn't. Discover what the Potomac River has to disclose to a city that lives magnificence.
Do you want to know what happened in between? Then stay with me and see how my dream unfolds and experience all the profund richness of the American countryside with its quirks that will amaze you at every turn and corner. See you soon!
