An Old Method - With Lost Results

My Scholarship entry - Only Jesus Could Feed 5000 With 2 Fish...

3 years ago I picked up a dodgy looking DSLR. I sat & taught myself everything I know and now i'm writing this on a hard bed in India's Mysore after photographing the markets. I was 24 when I found my passion. I was 25 when I hosted my first exhibition in Manchester, & I was (& still am) 26 when I took a photography group to India in October & wrote a book on 'Travel & Photography'.

I live & dream about photographing travel. I depart from fellow backpackers for days-on-end to immerse completely into something I want to capture. Many don't understand the feeling of getting a shot I love, or missing one too. Constantly purring over my camera, it doesn't leave my side - considered by myself as my left arm.

Backpacking 28 countries in 3 years - making local friends, I sip tea and say hello to children as a daily routine - indulgence in the rawest form. It's not only about photographing, but the emotions behind it. Being grateful is something many don't possess - but you can't help feel a deeper meaning when you hear stories of loss & neglect. I love photographing people you see.

To be given a chance to excel at my passion would be beyond emotional. Beyond comparable. Beyond epic!
