The world is constantly changing. In nature, one season affects the next. Colorado has such beauty year round. If our winters are heavy and wet, our spring and summer flowers are amazing. If our summers are damp, our fall leaves are vibrant. The winters give solitude. These images tell the story about Colorado year around, and the vibrant colors and places one can find here.
Thus living in Colorado always gives me a reason to go out and capture the beauty that surrounds me. I have always loved photography, but the one thing that sparks my passion for photography is experiencing and discovering the world through the lens of my camera; whether it is a vast landscape, wildlife, or the intimate world of macro photography. Photography also gives me a release from the craziness of everyday life. When I am out photographing, I am always striving for the next shot, looking for a different unique angle, waiting for the light to change, or making sure I have the unique image that I was hoping to take. It is hard for me to stop taking pictures when I am out in nature. My friends always know that I stop to take images along the way, I can't help it, I am addicted to photography! My passion for photography strengthens each time I learn or discover something new, I just want to keep shooting. My desire for where I want to go with my photography has changed over time, but I have finally settled with travel photography for stock images or publications. This would allow me to photograph anything from macro to portraits to landscapes around the world. I dream about my next travel destination just about every moment that I am not focused on teaching my Elementary school students art.
